About the Role
As a Database Administrator at Themewizz, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, securing, and optimizing mission-critical databases that support enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, and cloud-based solutions. You’ll work closely with software developers, DevOps engineers, cloud architects, and IT administrators to ensure maximum reliability, performance, and data integrity.
What You’ll Do
- Install, configure, and maintain production database environments.
- Design highly available, scalable, and secure database architectures.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries.
- Perform database tuning, indexing, and capacity planning.
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Configure database replication and clustering solutions.
- Monitor database health and troubleshoot production issues.
- Collaborate with developers to optimize SQL queries and application performance.
- Implement database security policies and access controls.
- Perform upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
- Automate database administration tasks using scripts and monitoring tools.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of professional database administration experience.
- Strong understanding of relational database management systems.
- Advanced SQL knowledge.
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies.
- Experience with database performance tuning.
- Knowledge of Linux or Windows Server administration.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
